It really puzzles me why people will pay a fortune for a gnarly old bass from the 70's when they could buy a pristine, better new one for a fraction of the cost.

A bit like classic cars tho... Appreciation in value over the years. I had a 74 jazz bass and played and sounded as good as any modern jazz I have owned, plus all the mojo thing . Personally not a big fun but I do get why people like them

  2. Anyone fancy this before it goes to the tip ? Logic board died but it comes in parts , DVD writer,  graphic card , power supply 32gb ram 6 core , fans and shell.few photos here

    Collection only as very heavy

     Ps

Power supply on ebay sells in between 50 pound and 100 pound.

Only things I ask is a small donation to a charity of your choice

    All the best

    Tony

  3. I had to let 1 of my fretlesses go😪

It was either the pentabuzz or the pasini . I love tge feel and playability of the pasini better so I let the pentabuzz go. if money was no object....

I've not added my favourite fretless in here yet.

    A 1985 Yamaha BB1100S.

It plays, sounds, and looks beautiful. Growls like nobody's business.

  5. For sale the amazing op1. This has been taken great care and still has plastic on screen.

It's on great condition but my computer packed up and need to raise funds to buy another.

Will upload some picture later on.

    Comes with original case.

    Any question please ask

Here a video of what a beast of a synth actually is

  6. Same here !! IHave tried alot of fretlesses and I'll list (like Tony ) my top 3

    1. Brazilian Kingwood(my current bass Pasini)

    2. Diamondwood used mostly on Roscoe .

    3.macassar ebony

Obviously sounds on electric instruments it's heavy influenced by electronics and very little on fingerboard wood . In my opinion is more about feeling and attack etc but as for sounds electronics plays the biggest part . As for an acoustic instrument( look at dB) most of them have ebony fingerboard
