2. Superb, I'd love one of these, but never had the cash when one came up on the bay.

I personally wouldn't worry about the scale. It is what it is, and I wouldn't be looking to alter an already great bass, just enjoy it how Jack intended it to be.

  3. Ashdown Perfect 10, in great nick. I've used it once as an emergency combo for rehearsing while I found a new rig.

I rehearsed with it on Monday night, in the studio, with the band, and it held it's own pretty well. It's only 30W, but was great for practise, loud for its size, and some very useable tones indeed, I was genuinely very impressed with this little amp.

It's quite heavy, so it's collection or delivered by me (within reason, NW England, Midlands), not posted.

I'm just after my money back without profit, so it's yours for 50 quid.

    SOLD pending.

I concur. In the current climate, £600 would be good!! Couldn't shift my Black 'ray a few months ago for what I wanted, but settled on £650 in the end, and I was happy with that.

Stingrays just aren't reaching thier real value on the market at the moment, but at the end of the day, anything is only worth what someone will pay for it.

  5. I once won a Fender Strat signed by Ritchie Blackmore. First thing I did when I got it home was reach for the Mr Sheen. It seemed to sound better afterwards somehow.

A Stingray is a great bass, worth between 600/800 quid depending on its condition.

Paul Turner is a great bass player (I'm a fan), but his signature aint worth squat.

If the bass was signed by Jaco, we might be talking big bucks here, but we're not.

Good luck with the sale, a '77 'ray would be a good buy.

  6. A list of good kebab shops near the venues, and a crate of Stella.

Just make sure you have fun that's all. I had the pleasure of doing a small tour with a rock band many years back, and it was a riot, I remember it all with great fondness, wish I could do it again now.

:) Thanks for that mate, it is nice though.

Dunno, I have a disease, I just can't hang on to anything for more than five minutes. The band will quite possibly chuck me out for selling this one though, seriously.

    PMs replied to thanks.
