Put it this way, my "go to" bass is now an Encore with a Status neck. It feels and responds so much better than my US Jazz. It seemed to open up more midrange, the bass has more thump. If anything it sounds more organic than the previous neck, but it was an Encore neck at the end of the day!

Sounds like a perfect candidate for a Status Graphite neck, I reckon!
-
If you want a traditional look with excellent built quality and sound, I'd personally recommend one of the retroactive range from Status, or the T bass reissue. The necks are phenomenal, as is the sound.

If I just use my 2x12, which has a 105db sensitivity rating, I have to max my LM2 to be heard just in rehearsal. With the full 500w into my 2x12 and 1x12, I can run at half way with plenty of headroom. I wouldn't want to rehearse and gig without a comfortable margin to be able to turn up, should my guitarist not exercise restraint with his volume or if we're on a big stage. I like to feel the bass, too, not just hear it under the mix somewhere.

Take the Power Back? Good slap line. Come like a Bomb has a great melodic intro. Know your Enemy is a great rock line. There are loads of funky lines on the Battle For Los Angeles album.

As you say, its very scooped (more so on the earlier samples). I'd add some more low mid in there as I don't see that cutting through guitars.

Now its "file cannot be found"

Can't hear it, it asks to sign up to listen...

Very nice. I love those Ibanez headstocks, very reminicant of the old Fender Starcaster guitars. Looks fantastic!

Isn't Mosfet just a fancy term for solid state, though?

I kind of miss that white mock. I didn't get on with it when I had it, mind, but I miss it now its gone!

I would swap my Little Mark 2 for this if you are interested?

Is this still for sale?

Any pics of the Dano?

Is this the fancy version, or the cheapie? Looks great to me...

I would be up for this, but don't have a method of burning tracks to CD...

Yes, its amazing how expensive it gets taking your guitar to the tech for it to be tuned. Once or twice a day, sometimes!
-
I'd love that. Can't afford it though, I expect...
-
Wouldn't it have a stereo jack anyway, being an active circuit?
-
Ah, tenuous.

I'd recommend building one, for sure! You're a picky bugger, so if you build it yourself you might actually get something you like at the end of it
Get a decent bridge humbucker, maybe a bit nearer to the sweet spot than bridge position. I'm pretty chuffed with Kent Armstrong soapbars at present, but a MM style pickup would be a good bet too. Maybe a Status or Modulus neck on an offbeat warmoth body? They do mocks, eagles etc! -

Oh, I've had my fill of wiring for now methinks - I'm having nightmares about solder!

I did it myself, see the link in my sig. I fitted it squiffy, though, so had to move the bridge by a few mm to compensate - turned out fine though.
