if you can get hold of an electrix repeater, iv heard they are kingdingaling. i saw battles last year, and the bass player was using one i think. recorded himself in, then was hitting buttons on it and changing the loop length to make some really glitched up dirty basslines. you can hear it on their seminal song atlas, heres a link to some blurb about the repeater

they go on ebay occasionally, id really frickin like one :S -
just get really hammered on rider booze, turn the guitarists bass eq up and mime. collect your cheque, and form your own jazz fusion group where you take hour long solos
-
gotta love te pickup placement, growls like hell
now iv got the bug though, need more mats :S -
ahh no worries
-
ooo is this still available?
-
aww thats awesome. i was a poor lefty kid at school and they tried teaching me right handed, damn ejits :S

i have a lefty MIJ 62 reissue fender jazz, exactly the same as this

it has a few dings, but is generally in great condition and has recently been set up professionally. its the 50th anniversary edition and has a little badge on the back of the headstock documenting this
id be interested in swapping it for a MIJ aria pro II sb bass, or a westone thunder. Or a fretless of any description really, try me! pics to follow soon

hi, i recently had my bass setup but im finding the action a little too low. iv looked through this forum, and found some great setup guides. just a quick question, if i adjust the action by raising the saddles will this affect the intonation? and will i then need to re-adjust this also?
cheers

thanks for the input guys. i'll probally go for the lb 212, but that purple chilli cab is also very tempting. let us know how it sounds sk8
-
possibly. if you definatly wanted it i could reduce the buy it now price by £20 for you, but i'd rather do it through ebay as im new to it and want the rating.
Ive been running mone through my 410 but am thinking about getting the Ashdown 112 for it for a mini rig so would be interested to hear if anyones tried one... The cheap ashdown cabs are what they are but the UK cabs have always been awesome in my opinion...
do you mean this one ? http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.as...alve&ID=233 -
thanks ill check it out. forgive my ignorance, what does spl stand for?
-
im eagerly awaiting the delivery of my lb30, and im going to need to invest in a cab to go with it as my main rig is at the practice room. anyone have a good recommendation?
of course i'v looked at the accompanying products from ashdown, but i'v heard mixed reviews about their cabs. ideally i'd like something that doesent sacrifice low end , and handles the tubey growl. so many options
cheers
I love my Aria, and any suggestions of other Matsumoku guitars to try would be much apprieciated.
i havnt been able to get hold of an sb, being left handed makes it a real struggle. however my westone thunder II
was made by uncle mat at the same time, with exactly the same materials and boy does she growl. id highly recomend a westone thunder, especially the neck thru versions. and if you can get hold of the later thunder 3 with magnabass pickups, get ready for serious tone
heres a nice porn link for ya thunder 3 porn
