Got some strings - they got here fast!

Ebay likes to make out that you should use it like a normal auction, where you need to keep your bid the highest, and some people end up using it that way. Actually it would be interesting if you could do ebay auctions like that - they last for ever but if there has ever not been a bid for 10 days it goes for the selling price.

[/quote] That could simulate acoustic feedback (you might want to put a bit of delay in too) but not guitar feedback, as the energy isn't being fed back through the strings....

perhaps just use a sample of feedback, or some similar feedback like sound?

Me, this is pretty much what I do. Use a separate camera and sound equipment and then sync them up on the computer afterwards.

Personally I am always happy to pay another couple of hundred for the box....

It's explained in the listing - they are 'low in price but they are definitely not cheap'.
Even so, they are 'better than some strings that sell at three times the price', so you are effectively saving £215. not bad in my book.
