1. Hi CJO Gray, who did the repairs on the neck ? Was it done by Overwater? Thanks mate, Dave. 👍
2. Thanks mate . Lovely bass, is it 18mm string spacing ?
3. What scale length on this one . Is it 35"? Many thanks. 😊
4. RK, I really enjoyed this whole thread and congratulations on an outstanding looking bass. It has made me consider a through neck Perception, which I must have missed as a possibility when I had my Progress 6 f'less built a year back!! Mind you I would like 2 Progress, 2 Original, 2 Perception..........etc, etc,lol I agree that commissioning a bass from Overwater is an amazingly exciting and rewarding experience and one that I would highly recommend .Martin ,Chris, Haydn and Laurence were great. Thanks for your post RK and all the best, Dave.
5.
Euphonic Audio iAmp 200 combo Bought on BC about 3 years ago (I guess??) and used with a function band for 20 - 30 gigs, as well as occasional jazz gigs on electric bass and very occasional acoustic guitar playing. Never missed a beat and, though it has the odd scratch, it still works perfectly and looks spot on from a few feet away! 4 band tone controls with switchable Q/slope on the 2 mid bands, as well as 4 different tone presets. In built chromatic tuner. 12" Wizzy cone - co-axial driver delivers lots of low end for its size, and smooth treble up to about 10kHz. I love this amp but since I joined a different, much louder band, this just isn't loud enough. It's the best amp I've ever owned for jazz gigs, acoustic music and medium volume covers gigs (worked fine for a beatles/monkees/etc 60s thing) but it can't deliver the high volume needed to fill a marquee and cut through a loud drummer, keys and guitar for killers/kings of leon/foo fighters type modern rock. Looking for £300 from this to fund an Ampeg portaflex 500, but I'm interested in trading for the right head - warwick, trace, ashdown, mark, or any of the american boutique brands like Aguilar or Eden would be worth a DM, and I'm happy to sort out cash either way to make the trade fair. I live in Hindhead, am happy to meet for collection as far as Kingston/S London to the North and as far as Portsmouth to the South.
Hello there, I have an SWR Basic 350 head ,which I no longer use since buying MarkBass gear but I'd like a small combo for my Upright bass.My amp is in good working order and one of the "Red range " with solid state power amp and tube preamp which is great for warmth. It is currently in a local shop for £399 but I could get it if it is of interest to you? Many thanks, David.
