1. Fenix guitars and basses were made by the one of the companies that made the Korean Squier instruments in the early 1990s. Broadly, the quality of the fenix instruments was equivalent to the Squiers at the time and seem to have shared some of the parts.

I've played a Fenix Telecaster since 1993 and the only weak point I've found is that the switches and pots were poor. I would be inclined to put some new tuners on it, a new nut, give it a good clean and play it.

  2. JD numbers seem to have been used since 2012 on Fender Japan guitars with the two digits after the JD giving the year - the dating system appears to be the same as used for the Japanese Gretch guitars which are also Fender made : http://blog.gretschguitars.com/2013/07/gretschtech-understanding-modern-gretsch-serial-numbers/

  3. Picked this up a few weeks ago but forgot to post it. Gear4music LA Bass (precision copy)

Plays well enough, sounds precision-y. Happy bunny for £40 second hand :sun_bespectacled:

Coffin case didn't come with the bass, it was lurking in the loft waiting for a bass to hold!

  4. I had a look at Sennheisers website and it looks like the 201s are discontinued but the 206 looks very similar spec.

I use the 201s for pa monitoring and they are good for the price.

    p.s. Richer Sounds are doing the 206s at £24.99 : https://www.richersounds.com/product/headphones/sennheiser/hd206/senn-hd206

  5. Little bit of an unusual item. Case for a headless bass or guitar - tweed covered, leather ends, red pile lining.

In good condition - there is a small spot of paint on one leather end, a pull in the tweed on the back and some corrosion on the hardware.

    Internal dimensions are 98 x 19.7 x 5 cm.

A bit of searching around suggests that this might be a case for a Kramer Duke which would make it 1980s and should fit similar sized basses and possibly headless guitars. I bought it to fit my Steinberger XT25 and it's about 20mm too short and 20mm too narrow unfortunately.

Looking for £40 plus postage or nearest offer.
