Kudos to all at Barefaced. TC is an impressive endorser to have on board.

The CS-3 with Monte Allum's Opto mod kit is great for compression as an effect

A bass flyrig three ..... leaving out the octafilter and chorus

At the Thomann price I am sorely tempted

Sounds really good. Might have to invest in one of these.

Another change...
Not the most exciting board on here but boy does this combo sound good.

Definitely quality over quantity -

I have been using ER 20s for ages, but they do get uncomfortable. I paid for some ACS Pro 17s as a Xmas present to myself. Comfortable and effective. Recommended.

Korg Pitchblack, Korg Pitchblack Portable, one in my Pod XT and another in my Korg Sound-on-Sound. I think there might be a Quiktune somewhere to or I might have left that with my ex.

I would've had it if it had been under£300, but that's too steep for me.

It's such a personal thing. Fuzzes are very popular but I much prefer distortions. The Fuzzrocious Cat Tail sounds huge. COG and Idiotbox also do Rat clones that work great for bass.

The LMB-3 is a good, cheap utility compressor for bass (manages the dynamics but doesn't really do much for the tone). The new BC1-X looks good but I haven't tried one yet.

I wonder what the price is going to be?

Depends on how loud your drummer and the rest of the band are.
I used to get away with about 120W through 12". Our new drummer is STOOPID loud and I struggle with a Barefaced Compact with a Harte LH500 (not a quiet amp) -
I've got two basses (US Std Precision and an Epiphany Thunderbird Pro IV). I broke a string once 30+ years ago. Occasionally I'll take both to a gig so I have a backup but mostly it's one or the other depending on the gig and how I'm getting there.

Songs from 6 different decades mean I just can't choose one. The one I've linked to on FB today though is "Everyone Says Hi" just because I thought most people would go for classics

If you like the sound of the Roland Jazz Chorus then a valve amp may not be what you're after.......
For recording I'd go with 51m0n's recommendation. Once you've got a great signal recorded you and always re-amp that if you want a more coloured tone...... -
Will this pedal run on batteries? I can't find any info on that on the manufacturer's website

December 1982 the Jam played their last ever concert at the Brighton Centre. I had a ticket but stupidly told it for four times what I'd paid. I was 13 and didn't know the meaning of regret. I don't even know what I spent the £20 on.

I have a compressor. I like it and use it, but I could live without it and sometimes do.
