1. PM'd you back Will re neck.. Thanks.
2. Hey all, Not sure if this will work but pics of the 3 basses should be seen using http://s989.photobucket.com/albums/af17/Jathan_Music/ Couple of points to note.. Firstly I am not a great photographer and dont have a great camera, so please excuse the bad quality photo's. The scratch on SG looks a lot worse than it is due to the flash. Also, the Duff McKagan bass currently has my old badass bridge on which I was planning on removing and replacing with the original bridge. Let me know if any questions/offers etc. I am only looking for cash as I need the money for uni exams etc etc (mature student! ) Thanks.
3. Ah and I also have a Fender jazz bass neck. Its a Mexican and rosewood from 1996. Nut has slight chip in and last fret has a slight dink but otherwise pretty good. Looking for £50 + postage.
4. Hi all, Due to some expensive committments I have coming up I am putting up for sale some bass gear.. I will get pics of all added later from home. I live about 15 mins from Gatwick in RH1 for collection. For sale is my 2009 Gibson SG Std bass. This is the more expensive version that has been retailing recently for around £1100 and is in cherry with block inlays on the neck rather than the cheaper dot inlays etc. Fantastic condition with just one slight scratch on the horn. Looking for £550 and comes with a Gibson USA case. All now sold.. Thanks.
5. Chaps, thanks so much for a hilarious read to start my weekend! Wooks, nothing wrong with your music at all and Chrismuzz if that really is your Mrs, all round yours for dinner sometime!!! When I put my SG bass up for sale soon I will definitely note no auction! I wonder how Louis originally bought the bass for so much lower than selling price though.. Fake? Stolen?! I worked at Fender and still couldn't have gotten one cheaper than £435!!

traded

Scratched or dinged, truss rod cover or not, that bass looks amazing.. Did you have a sale price in mind as I wouldnt really want to part with either of my Fenders!!
11. Hey all, New pics added.. Excuse my poor photography but it was 7am and a camera that hasnt seen the light of day for a year! To be honest, I am not really looking for trades. Need to try getting some money together towards a new bass as I moved across from guitar ages ago and could do with upgrading to a newer bass now I am in a band. Thanks.

14. Sold now. Thanks for all the interest and thanks again for the purchase.
15. Hey all, Selling my Gibson Les Paul Studio which is in Fireburst (looks same as http://www.andertons.co.uk/electric-guitar...e-hardware.asp). (Except mine has gold hardware). Guitar bought around 2008 but I moved to bass around the same time and so, have hardly ever played it. The guitar is in great condition, gold on pickups looks just a tiny bit 'bubbly' in a couple of spots but still looks really good and not really noticable. Never gigged and hardly played. Looking for £675 if collected (approx 15 minutes from Gatwick) or will get quotes for couriers once I can measure and weigh it etc. Will get some pics ASAP. Thanks.
16. For sale Ashdown Five Fifteen bass combo (1x15"). A couple of years old but hardly used as I bought a used Genz Benz slightly after getting the Ashdown and therefore in good condition. Its not been gigged and only used for practising. The specs etc for these amps can be seen at http://www.dv247.com/guitars/ashdown-five-...er-combo--73697. Looking for £75 if collected (only about 15 minutes from Gatwick airport). Can look into couriers if required but this would cost extra (will get quotes when I can weigh and measure it properly). Will also get a pic up ASAP. Thanks for looking. Sold now, thanks all for the interest.
17. Thanks all, much appreciated. I will bear it all in mind when I try this over Christmas. Thanks.
18. Hi all, I am going to be wiring a jazz bass pretty soon but it will be the first time I have ever tried anything like this. I have all the pots etc and will be using either Fender SCN or Vint Noiseless pickups. I wondered though if anyone has any really good pics of exactly how a US jazz bass is wired? I have the wiring diagrams but as I havent done it before, I think it would really help to see a good picture of the actual wiring on a guitar. I have searched on the net and had some luck with pics but even these are not very clear and so I thought I would ask here just in case! Thanks.
19. Thanks very much for the replies. I have found out that the US P Basses from 2000 and a few years after used Schaller tuners which are listed as XBS-1C.. I cant find any pics of the back of these tuners to show the prongs and if these would fit the holes. If anyone has a Schaller XBS-1C please can you add a pic of the side that meets the wood so that I can see if these are close together, or if possible measure the distance between the prongs. It might not be these but seems to match some of the details you have listed. Thanks all for the help with this, much appreciated. Thanks.
20. Hi all, A bit of a random question and apologies if its quite vague. I have purchased a 2nd hand made in USA P Bass neck which has never been used, and I was expecting it to use standard US tuners. I think the neck itself is about 8-10 years old. I bought one of the Fender tuners that has the 2 prongs on the back rather than screws as the neck itself does have 2 pre-drilled holes on the back of the headstock by where each would go in. However when I came to fit the tuner I found that the holes were too small and too close together (and in fact on wrong side of the hole) for these to fit. I compared the holes to the tuners on a couple of other guitars - a Mexican Fender and a Squier Bass but the screws holes were not in the same place to screw in. I have attached a picture and I am wondering if anyone has any idea what sort of tuners would go on here as it seems that the holes there are too close together for most of the tuners I have seen!!! Thanks for any help.
