1. This is my Trace Elliot V8 head and it is in great condition. As previously mentioned, I'm selling it because I have seen a bass that I really want and therefore need to raise some funds to put towards it. I saw the bass on Monday and it was everything I hoped it would be, so I am firmly commited to selling this. The head has been gigged a couple of times some years back, but since then it hasn't been used at all. When I did use it live, it was not subject to any volume abuse so the valves have plenty of miles left in them. It comes complete with it's power lead, user guide (photocopy only I'm afraid), TE footswitch unit and two lime green TE three pin leads for speaker connection. It doesn't come with a flight case or cover of any kind. I've never laid out for a case myself as it never leaves the house. For those with a dodgy back, please beware, this amp is heavy! It comes in at 28.4 kilos (four and half stone). Due to the weight/fragility I really don't want to ship this. You are very welcome to collect it from me in South Essex or I would be willing to deliver it or meet you somewhere in between, depending on the distances involved. Due to the reason for sale I cannot accept any trades, unless you happen to be the man who has my future next bass. Price: WITHDRAWN. Payment by bank transfer preferred or cash.
2. NOW SOLD - CAN BE REMOVED - THANK YOU.
3. Bump. On eBay too, but will withdraw for a sale here. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...=STRK:MESELX:IT
4. Need to sell this soon-ish to supply funds for my GAS.
5. Shameless bump. Any personal inspection of this beauty is welcomed.
6. Sorry I missed your post. Haven't been on for a couple of days. I'll PM you.
7. Now on eBay too! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=160551887847
8. I've had some good genuine interest via PM, but this lovely Rickenbacker is still available and at a decent price. Let me know if anyone wants any further photos.
9. Bump as I really need to shift this to satisfy my GAS.
10. Please note that due to the use of flash in the photo in the first post, the tone of the Maple Glo looks slightly washed out towards the upper horn. I can assure you that this is not the case in reality and that the Maple Glo is uniformally gorgeous. The richness of the maple is nearer to the colour shown just above the bridge. Here is a shot of the back. Other photos to follow.
11. I am reluctantly selling my lovely Rickenbacker 4003 finished in Maple Glo. It was born in February 2001. Apart from the till receipt, it comes with everything it was sold with including the hang tag, the original Rickenbacker cloth, allen keys, two case keys, the Rickenbacker Care & Maintenance Manual and the original Rickenbacker hardshell case. Also shown are the strings the 4003 is currently strung with, that being 45-105 Rickenbacker flatwounds which have had almost zero use. This bass was professionally set up in 2010 when I purchased it and it was restrung with the new flatwounds. I'm not sure the strings actually needed replacing, but every bass I buy gets the same treatment, whether it needs it or not. As for provenance, the previous owner bought it from new whilst in the USA but gave up playing soon afterwards. Since then, it was stored until I purchased it. The frets have hardly any wear at all. Although I am very particular regarding my basses, none of them are perfect. This 4003 is no exception. It has a few very small imperfections in the laquer on the body which were present when I purchased it. They are invisible unless you sit down in good light and hunt for them. I am being hypercritical here as I want any prospective buyer to be aware before purchase, as was I. There are no issues anywhere else on the instrument. The intonation on this 4003 is superb; certainly the best of any of the basses I have at this time. I would also like to say in it's favour that it sounds absolutely badass, plays as fast as a racing snake and looks killer. Price: £1295. Sorry, but I'm not looking for any trades.
12. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/7d-offer-1964-RICKEN...=item439e7ea0ba I don't profess to know that much about Rickenbackers, but surely the price must be a typo? I could almost believe it if it was mint relic in an original state, but it appears to have been customised somewhat. Your thoughts?
13. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rare-1972-Rickenback...=item2307132039 Loving the look of this. Fantastic skunk stripe and a lovely aged look to it's colour. If only the pound wasn't doing so rubbish at the moment.
