Can vouch for these. Brilliant, though and extremely light! And with plenty storage also!

HI Paulo,
you were missed mate! Hope you have recovered?
I wanted to have a good go on your Helix to see what the fuss is about?
Cheers,
Norm.
Hi Norm!
Luckily these are one day only! Feeling fabulous now! And also jealous of all you chaps, after seeing the photos from the bash!
Can't wait for next year's... I may put the event in my calendar on the wrong day to fool next year's migraine... 🙃

With all the days left in the year to wake up with a migraine it would have to be on the bass bash... Sorry chaps, I need dark and quiet today, all the opposite of a bass bash... 😔 Hope you all have a great event!

COUNTDOWN NOTICE, WEDNESDAY 15TH
Here is Mrs. Scrumpy's menu to get the tastebuds going for Sunday. As usual, much of the content is good for vegetarians and there will also be vegan content. We think we remember who you are but, just in case, could our vegan friends and anyone else with special dietary requirement please make yourselves known to me - either on topic or via PM.
Now I'm starving! 😜

On a non-Bash-related subject, does anyone know of a good, reliable drummer free to join our classic-rock covers band Silverback currently gigging 1-2 times a month in the Bristol-Exeter area? Our current drummer has been struggling with a shoulder injury for some time and regrettably it looks like it's completely beggered now. He battled his way through last night's gig and decided that was enough.
Let me know under what rock you've found one, Mike! We've been struggling for nearly 3 years now, with deps, drummers that join the band and end up not up to it, drummers that don't have the time to practice/gig, ads everywhere... Good drummers are hard to find!

Great idea, Mike!

OK guys, it's decision time again! Despite the positive trend at the moment, we're looking at putting this back to September 19th to be really REALLY sure. We want the event to be completely free from even the slightest covid concern and, equally important, to not be further complicated by any covid-related safety measures that will increase the already considerable work-load on the team. July or August would probably be equally good but I can imagine that holiday catch-up plans would impact on attendance. Comments please!
Sorry for any further disappointment caused but we WILL get there!
Seems a plan!

It is the half term week, so I may be away. But if not it's already in my diary!

BREAKING NEWS: BASH RESCHEDULED 🎸
I am pleased to report that the new date for this year's Big Fat South-West Bass Bash is
Sunday 11th October
BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!! 😎
In my calendar!! Thanks Mike!! And stay safe everyone!

Heart says "let's do it". But mind says postpone. And mind has to win in this case, as I may be alright if I catch it, but others may have serious complications if I pass it to them.
I'm happy to pay now whatever needs to, and we'll keep in touch here as to when it's safer to meet.
-
How do I manage to keep missing these posts up until just some weeks left to the meeting?! Glad I always book it in the calendar 1 year in advance!! 😃
I'll be there of course (Corona allowing for it)! @scrumpymike can I please have the payment details?
I'll bring:
Basses: Fender Elite Jazz, Status Empathy 5 and PRS SE Kestrel
Combos Markbass CMD 151P, SWR LA15, GK MB112-ii and GK MB212-ii (the last three are for sale so they may be missing from the bash). And yeah, I'm fighting the combo addiction...
Helix LT & IEMs
See you all there!

I have the same in sunburst. It's a beautiful bass! And for the price, it's a great bass! Really punchy and with a great tone!

If the existing one is dead - and this new one blew up when powered... is it just the ICE board that is at fault? Have you got some output shorted?
For what I've been told by the tech guy (it's at a repair shop in Taunton), he didn't connected everything back into the amp. He powered it "outside" the amp.
-
Update: bought one from China, via eBay. It simply blew up when powered. Returning it at the moment.
I've also been chatting with @Chienmortbb, who has been very useful! I've even suggested a Chinese ICE blind test at the next SW Bash... To see which one would blow up first!😁

ICE is B2B only. You'll need to go through an authorised repair centre to get a new unit.
Ah ok. Thanks. Didn't know that!

And it's really light! I think it'll be a winner!
The Big Fat South-West Bass Bash - Now Sunday 19th September 2021

Totally off topic, but I'm desperately in need of a dep for a lot of my band's gigs, possibly all the gigs till Christmas. The band is Yeovil based Microlight, and I'll probably be overseas for an unpredictable amount of time, so our strategy will be to have someone to cover all gigs even if I become available, to bring a bit of fairness to the dep. It's mostly pub gigs and a couple of private functions.
The dates are 20th/27th Nov and 3rd/10th/11th Dec.
Even if you're only partially available send me a message!
