1. Black knobs looks cool. Is it this one ? http://forums.ernieb...ale-poland.html Seymour Duncan Pickup and serial #B023151 then No idea about electronics & bridge ( which is not the original one obviously; no mention of "musicman" on it) 2 jack routings/entrances ? ( on the control plate, the other on the side of the body like a 3-band MM ?) Or maybe it is a knob who is missing here.( check pics in the ernieball forum link: there is 4 knobs) EDIT: When I tried to search for the serial number , I saw another cutlass ( same headstock it seems; with no I beside "Cutlass" ) with the same serial( at least the guy tell so) , another pickup configuration ( MM + J ); D-tuner ; Badass II ; this the weirdest frankenbass I have ever seen lol. I don't know if you were aware of this. http://www.bassic.ch...-verkaufen-5939 As Kiwi said; you should mention more details about this bass ! There is a lots of mysteries around this musicman lol
2. I'm not the owner; but this bass is gone since a long time an another website !
3. SOLD Hello ; For sale ; a Musicman Cutlass II ; red trans finish with black pickguard I'm selling it in order to acquire a new alusonic bass; almost the same but with 5 strings and way expensive than this one ! I'm leaving this cutlass II for another one (http://www.alusonic....-S-Special.html) As everyone know; quite rare bass ( estimated300 ex. produced). Basically, a post-83 sabre with a graphite neck. Referenced on musicman.org C004246..Trans Red. Black pg. 4 bolt neck. Soapbar Pups. Lever switch electronics. Neck is a bit UPbowed ==> i'm playing really really light gauge ( 30/90 mostly) with low action and an agressive way of playing; and this isn't really possible with this bass ( much frizzs on lower strings) . Bass is set up with Dean Markley 40/100 gauges right now; and a "slightly" higher action==> not much frizz at all now; but not my taste.... -Nut have been changed ! (old one was broken) -Pickguard is not original ( Chandler ) -Everything else is original ! -There is absolutely NO FREATWEAR , rare thing ! Great shape for a 30 years old bass, two/three scratch though ( see pics; mostly on top of the lower horn ) I love the sound ; but hate the frizz with my setup and the lack of low B strings that's why i'm going with an Alusonic ! Asking 1755£ -2200 € for it NO TRADE; or only vs an Alusonic Special-S 5 strings Come with a Musicman HardCase ( not the original one) Shipping : around 35/50 € with UPS ( depending where you are) -Alder Body ( almost 5 kg) -2 band EQ , 9 volts musicman (100 % working) -5 way switch (100 % working) - Musicman Sabre bridge (100 % working) -Musicman Tuners (100 % working) - 2 Pickups with covered polepieces - Graphite Neck made by modulus under licence Here is some sound ! http://soundcloud.co...cman-cutlass-ii If you want more informations; pics, whatever; PM me; i'll gladly respond as fast as I can Manfred
4. Bump for this bass !!!
5. Not sure about a trade ; but do you have some pics ? (Up) EDIT: I think it'll be quicker with a trade than a regular sale.. I'm ok with trade offers now
6. Here is mine ! (click to enlarge!) Serial C004246 ; referenced on musicman.org Awesome bass; neck is a bit up-bowed ( on my Cutlass I , it was back-bowed...); looks like this bass was almost unplayed : frets are like new and fretboard is totally clean . However; the nut was almost dead and i got to replace it ==> Almost no frizz at all with a low action and a really really light gauge (35-90) !! Also, this bass is quite heavy (5 Kg; while my Cutlass I was around 4,3 Kg) You can listen it here : http://soundcloud.co...cman-cutlass-ii
7. Yes, she is waiting for someone .... she didn't left his hardcase since 3 weeks...
