Fuse keeps blowing

Hello,

I got given a nice leech bass head (I think it's a GL-20 model but I'm at work at the moment so will check when I get in) and a matching speaker cab.

I've used it for about 6 or 7 gigs then all of a sudden, mid gig, it stopped working. The power light wouldnt come on and there was no tell-tell hiss as if it had any life at all. I changed both fuses (the kettle lead and the fuse in the head which were both 5amp) and it started working again.

Last night I was practicing on it and the same thing happened, the power light went off and no sound. I checked the amp fuse and it was visably fried.

Any ideas on why this keeps happening? I'm getting nervous now as I don't want to replace the fuses and it go mid-gig again.

Thanks
Gem

May I bring this thread to the honourable gentleman's attention?

Brilliant stuff! thanks. I'll try a 13amp fused cable when I get in.

p.s- honourable gentlewoman as opposed to gentleman!
