didle Posted May 19, 2010 Share Posted May 19, 2010 Hi All, I've been hanging around for a couple of months and made the odd post or two. I'm starting to check the forums more often these days so I thought I'd take the time to introduce myself properly. My names Doug, I'm 34 and have a steady 9 to 5 job. When I'm not working I'm playing bass. I've been playing for about 18 years now but with a 5 year break while my kids were born. I started playing again about a year ago and finally found a band about 6 months ago, we made out debut on stage a month ago and it went pretty well (link down in the signature). My favourite players/influences are John Deacon (I was in a Queen tribute band "Fat Bottomed Queen" - they're called "They Will Rock You" now), Duff McKagan, John Paul Jones and Tom Hamilton. I've been using the same two basses for around 10 years now, a Warwick LX5 and US Precision but have recently changed my amp from a Hartke M2000/410TP/115TP stack to a GK Fusion 550/NEO 115/NEO 210 stack. I'm having all kinds of fun trying to get that 210 - it's been stuck in a container in the US for 2 months now. But the head and 115 sounds bloody great. Anyway, that's me done... hi!
