Un-soldered Tone pot....

Hey all,

I was playing today, when I noticed that my tone pot became dysfunctional, and my tone stayed at a constant "zingy" feel rather than mellow, which is how I like it! I know how to rectify the problem (my volume pots have come unsoldered before), but i was just wondering whether this issue could cause any damage to my amp, as it may be a few days before i can get to a soldering iron. I know this probably sounds silly, but I've just got a new amp, so I want to make sure I don't carelessly damage it (e.g. like when you pull out/put in jack leads whilst forgetting the amps still on). Its a passive bass, so I instinctively dont feel there will be a problem, but I just want to see if you guys feel the same way.

Cheers for your help!

No. Some players have even been known to disconnect tone pots altogether if they're not used.

Cheers
