I managed to pick up a Mania 4 string on ebay for £130 with a hard case and tuner which I was pretty pleased with. I was a little worried as I used to play a MIA Fender Jazz with EMG's in it and a Yamaha TRB5. I have been really suprised by how good this bass actually is but I know very little about Mavnia or even what woods its made from. It's quite a strange design as it appears to look like a neck thru but isn't. Does anyone have any information about this brand? As far as I know they are not produced any more but were made in Vietnam. I have to day it plays and sounds better than any bass i've had before, although it's fairly heavy. Only one tuner is going.
