Moonstomper Posted November 10, 2009 Share Posted November 10, 2009 ok so at the moment I'm playing at gigs through a 30w Bogey combo which I DI through our PA. However we have lots of problems with the bass booming out through the monitors and I also suspect that the constant problems we have with the tweeters blowing in our PA is due to this. Moos3h Posted November 10, 2009 Share Posted November 10, 2009 Tell us more about your PA setup - makes and models etc. You shouldn't be blowing tweeters if adequate crossovers are in place unless you are overpowering them significantly, or driving your power amp so hard that you drive it into clipping. mrcrow Posted November 11, 2009 Share Posted November 11, 2009 didnt know bassists used amps smaller than 100 my combo is 100 and is ok for the quiet places i play..churches i was on pa once but the same booming etc i think it lies with your desk and sound man personally i didnt like being on pa as i wanted to be in control of sound and tone i realise of course this is foolish from a real stage set up but you will find i think most bassists like to have the power and the projection on their patch Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
