TheRev Posted November 3, 2009 Share Posted November 3, 2009 I tried getting into all that 'bass centric' stuff about ten years ago but soon realised that I was listening to it because i thought I should and not because I actually liked it. I have a John Patitucci album and it is just a great set of musical pieces, I'm not even thinking 'bass' when I play it because he is playing for the song and not using them as backing tracks for 'impressive' flights of fancy.
