ash2008 Posted September 20, 2009 Share Posted September 20, 2009 I'm afraid i can't take any photos at the moment but its similar to the top one here: its only the paintwork that has been chipped off, the wood has remained ok. Although the old nitrocellulose is evil stuff, just about invisible repairs can be done, by the best guys. Unless the bass is worth a lot, I'd say leave it. As to what your man should pay, tell him it's essentially unrepairable and ask him for thirty quid in reparation, or whatever figure strikes you as fair...
