ol'slapper Posted September 13, 2009 Share Posted September 13, 2009 Hi all anyone help me with this would be appreciated, recently restrung my bass with weed whackers my problem is the E,A and D strings have settled in nicely and are now holding there tuning but the G will not tune up once the string is tightened it just stretches instead and will not tune up at all, can anyone help? Otherwise it might be a duff string.[/quote] Yep TPJ, done that got loads wrapped around it seems to just get to a certain point then rather than tune up it just stretches and stays at the same pitch ive ordered some more strings from a different supplier to see if theres is any different.
