Otherwise it might be a duff string.[/quote] Yep TPJ, done that got loads wrapped around it seems to just get to a certain point then rather than tune up it just stretches and stays at the same pitch ive ordered some more strings from a different supplier to see if theres is any different.

Hi all anyone help me with this would be appreciated, recently restrung my bass with weed whackers my problem is the E,A and D strings have settled in nicely and are now holding there tuning but the G will not tune up once the string is tightened it just stretches instead and will not tune up at all, can anyone help? Daz

Hey all, Been playing for 24 years now, (where did all that time go?) Currently using a Fender Precision Special with a maple neck (luvleee) and a Dean active fretless with a super thin neck all put through an ashdown MAG 410 ,for my sins i been playing guitar in a ska band for the last 3 years - demoted or promoted??? not sure you can judge Just bought an upright so im gonna be pickin some brains for the tuning problems im having atm.
