hookys6stringbass
Can anyone suggest something that will bring up the chrome on a 30 year old set of machineheads that have lost there shine????
Prosebass
If the chrome is still intact pay a visit to Halfords or a local car spares/accessory shop and get a tube of Solvol Autosol. I used to use it for car restoration. Alternatively Duraglit wadding is excellent if you can find it in a hardware shop.
GreeneKing
Solvol Autosol is good but take care not to overdo it as it can remove the chrome over time. A milder alternaltive is toothpaste, and it smells better. Can't hurt to give it a try. Cheap toothpaste (an abrasive) is best.
