Works really well with bass, but I understand it works equally as well with guitar. Nothing much more to say other than its very natural and transparent. Includes a studio quality DI out on XLR with ground lift and dry/wet switch and active/passive switch. Blurb from the Aphex website says: [i]“The 1404 gives clean, transparent compression for all instruments, from subtle to extreme amounts of compression without altering your tone or breaking up. Punch through the mix, live or studio, with enhanced tone and total dynamic control.”[/i] Available on the web for £90, sadly no original packaging with this one so yours for £40+pp. Note: Original rubber feet have been removed and Velcro added. Replacement self-adhesive rubber feet are available from Maplins for £1.50 for four. Is also advertised locally and will be on eBay early next week if no interest either here or there before then.
