Bass_Junkie Posted September 8, 2007 Share Posted September 8, 2007 what do people think to this bass? i have a westfield jazz bass and tried a squire p/j and rejected it cause it wasnt as much of a step up as i wanted. how is the neck compaired to a jazz bass? is it easy to play? how does it compare to a squire p/j or a westfield jazz? this would be my second bass and i would be looking to use it for band practises and small gigs untill i can get myself a really high-end bass. should i go for it? what are the pros/cons of this bass? setekh Posted September 8, 2007 Share Posted September 8, 2007 It's a great cheap bass. nice price - value ratio. the neck's reasonably slim...its somewhere between a jazz and a precision. Machines Posted September 9, 2007 Share Posted September 9, 2007 Definitely worth the money, it'll easily outclass the Squier/Westfield and is definitely good enough to play for years. The only possible con I can think of is it's resale value - Yamahas really don't hold their value very well, then again they are cheap to begin with !
