eightball Posted July 12, 2009 Share Posted July 12, 2009 (edited) well guys, fitted the speakons to my goliath II's - what a difference! tighter, much more focused, deeper, crisper... oh, and louder! it just sounds more right, more alive - kind of like lifting a blanket off the cabs. as a blind test, my wife was unaware i'd done anything to them and spontaneously asked 'what did you mess with now? that sounds different to normal'. she described the sound as 'more together, less boomy' and 'less painful and muddy, but even bloody louder!'. get on a lot better with the LH1000 as a result. not got to try it live yet, but i have high hopes! thanks again to alex et all for the input! i know where i stand on the speakon vs 1/4" debate:) awesome result for £20 odd and a bit of effort!
