TheButler Posted June 26, 2009 Share Posted June 26, 2009 Hey folks, Bit of advice needed. I've got an opportunity at a 1978 Fender Bassman 135 and 'matching' all original 215 cab. It has just been serviced, not in bad condition aesthetically either. I'll not have a chance to properly test this rig out until sometime next month when i have a bass... So, i can ask my mate to hold it for me, but i'll only do so if you convince me on here that it'd be a good idea! Music wise, i'm playing indy/folk-rock stuff... but with a lot of rock 'n roll growl (that makes no sense does it? ) So, whats the consensus on these? The bloke told me that the 412 cab was useless for bass, but the 215 supposedly much better. He also has an Orange OR80. Mr. Foxen Posted June 26, 2009 Share Posted June 26, 2009 I'd love a bassman 135, but I would use another bass for my low end, should get some sweet growly overdrive from it.
