OldGit Posted June 25, 2009 Share Posted June 25, 2009 I was passing Exeter yesterday so I made a little time to pop into [url="http://www.mansons.co.uk/shopping/categories/bass-guitars/"]Mansons Guitar Shop[/url]. I was very impressed. They have a fine selection of basses I'd heard of but not had a chance to try. It wasn't busy as it was Wednesday morning but I was left to try anything there. In the unusual department they had a selection (a [i]selection[/i]!) of Zons, a Smith 6 line fretless and 3 Pedullas. In the Fenders there were a couple of CS vintage things (didn't bother) a real 79 P much like the one I have and some Lakland super Ps and super Jazzes. They had a Marcus Miller Jazz and Geddy Lee Jazz too. The Shine "inspired by" a Ric 4001 was also pretty good for cheap money Very nice to strap these things on and give them a go. Nice also to realise I really like what I already have The staff there were very nice and just left me to it. The customers coming in were nice and sociable too and I may have recruited a few for Basschat... Maybe we need a poster for the bass trying area of music shops...
