BassAdder60 Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Hey folks Any users on here running a Tech 21 VT into the front end of an amp ? Looking to get a more Ampeg kind of tone with some drive when required Quote
Tech21NYC Posted February 6 Posted February 6 It can work that way. It all depends on how your amp is set. It works best if your amp is set clean and you don't use drastic EQ settings. It's best to experiment. If you run the pedal into the effects return only it gives you the best idea of how the pedal sounds. Take care as the master volume on your amp with this method may no longer work. Quote

ezbass Posted February 6 Posted February 6 I use a VTDI straight into my Phil Jones rig, sounds good to me and I’ve also had compliments from others. 1 Quote
NancyJohnson Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago If you're looking for the VTBass to shape your tone, always run these into an effects return if you have one; this'll bypass your amplifier's preamp stage/tone controls and just utilise the poweramp. At the very least, if you need to go in the front, you'd need to try and determine your amplifiers flat settings (this isn't always going to be 'everything at noon'). Thing is, at a very basic level, there's no 'when needed' element going on here; you're either using the VTBASS to shape your tone or you're not. Quote
