JazzyJ Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I'm looking at a refret on my '63 Jazz. Any recommendations for having professional work carried out? I'm located YO62 North Yorkshire but can travel a reasonable distance. Cheers Quote

Whilst the collection and return seems appealing, on research some folk complained about the quality of refret work. I have dealt with MOR over 20yrs ago when I lived in York and had no issues regarding buying/selling. The company have no presence in York, I believe now based in Selby. End of the day, I just want the Jazz sorted. I'm not bothered about the retaining the originality of the bass, it's a refin anyway but it's a keeper. Ian Quote
JPJ Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago There are only three people up here in the North East of England who I would trust with refretting any bass, let alone a genuine 1963 Jazz bass; 1) Paul Richardson at PR Guitars (Facebook only, looks like his website is down) 2) Gary at Sylva Guitars 3) Dave Wilson (again, Facebook only) But, all three are incredibly busy so expect a wait.
