Chienmortbb Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Or Foam Windshields. Do you use them or do you have a good reason not to use them? I have heard that the Shure ones are the best but are the others any good? Quote
Rosie C Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago We use generic foam windshields with our Sennheisers - helps with wind noise when we play outdoors, possibly helps a bit with pop filtering. Also, they're colour-coded with matching cables and coloured tape on the amp. That makes it really easy for competent people who aren't familiar with our kit to help set up - red mic, red cable, red mixer channel. Quote
Chienmortbb Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago Good ideas, the reason I asked is that I am about to host an Open Mic night and I want to reduce the amount of alien saliva reaching the microphones. The colour coding makes the case on its own. I cannot claim copyright on the term Mic Condom, a former band mate coined that term. 1 Quote
