Sara C Posted Monday at 19:22 Posted Monday at 19:22 Hi - looking for advice with transport! I need a van which will fit 4 double basses in flight cases to stand upright. I am told they ate 2.18m high. A Luton with tail lift is not tall enough, I'm finding it tricky to find a low loader to hire. Has anyone got any tips? TIA x Quote

But I put it up here to show the benefit of the Renault Master front wheel drive chassis. Not needing to accommodate a prop shaft the load floor is much lower than your average Luton. Removal guys run these so it may be possible to find something similar. Our headroom was 2.4m Quote

My dad used to run a fleet of Lutons and Sprinters but I never got to drive one of these beautiful things. Quote
Homatron Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago How upright? There are vans which get close to tall enough. E.g. Fiat Ducato/Citroen Relay in H3 format is 2.17 m max load height. Loading the basses with a slight lean this may be tall enough. Quote
