I think the trans red looks amazing, and I'd be seriously interested if this were a 4 string.

Earlier on it was £900 BIN with an £800 start price, but someone has placed a bid so the BIN has gone.

Hasn't this been "beheaded"? It'd definitely put me off especially as the luthier who repaired the break is in the U.S.
He's quoted as saying"the neck will never break in that spot again because of the strength of the epoxy he uses".

I've got a funny feeling that the colour might well be the bubinga shining through the lacquer and not a trans-red finish! Then again it might be my eyesight! It still looks edible though! My first foray into mega-expensive custom made basses was in fact a 4 string Custom Thumb with LEDs and gold hardware! Traded it in for a Wal!
