If only you could get flamed ebony big enough for a top, all this colouring in would be unnecessary... Quote

But then again there's something about the way the light hits the lighter bits and they go silvery or purply (assuming it behaves the same as the old 4 string despite the differnet wood) that is very appealing and you wouldn't get from flamed ebony.
