I've been lurking here for a while, so, I'd like to introduce myself now.

I've been playing bass for 37 years and in bands for 35 of them. Due to lack of time, I've had to take breaks now and then, but I've never stopped playing. I've just started a new project with friends.

Stylistically, I've almost always played in the realms of 80s indie pop/shoegaze and soul/rhythm and blues. You might be able to guess one of my favorite bands from my profile picture.

My current instruments - both from the 90s - are a MIJ and a MIA Fender Precision Bass. Both with LaBella 760FL strings. The amp is an Ampeg PF-450 with the matching 15" cabinet, which I only use for practicing. I've been playing ampless for years. I'm a bit particular about pedals and have way too many, so my setup is always changing. Currently, the signal chain looks like this: Peterson StroboStomp HD - Diamond Bass Compressor - Origin Effects Bassrig Super Vintage.

I hope that wasn't too detailed. Anyway, I'm looking forward to some interesting discussions.
