SteveXFR Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Im using a Boss TU-3 tuner pedal and after checking against a few other devices, I've come to the conclusion that its reading a semitone high. I checked the reference frequency by pressing both buttons together and its set to 0 which I believe means 440hz. Any ideas? Quote

Homatron Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I just had a quick check with mine and found I could get some odd readings by pressing the up arrow on the right. I'm sure they're settings to be used for different tunings but I could get it to read "A" whilst playing an open G. All without changing the reference frequency. Pressing the up arrow several times until the indicator LED got back to "Chromatic" took me back to normal tuning. Might be worth checking how it is set. Quote

Yeah, I once fell foul of this at a band rehearsal. Accidentally pressed the little button that makes everything go wrong when down tuning to drop-d. Got about 8 bars into a song before I had to wave it off in a panic. Quote
Homatron Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) It's one of those things you just forget about until it goes wrong! At which point it destroys everything. Edited 6 hours ago by Homatron Quote
