Magnificent bass.  I just want to play it and do nothing else.  

 

D’Addario Chromes are sufficient.  I’ll keep them/won’t likely change for rounds as intended.  Fret markers are at the fret lines not at the dots.  A little odd but I’ll live.  I may stain the top a deeper color (if it takes).  

 

I’m pleased and inspired to play more.

I have Hipshot Ultralight tuners to install.  Stock tuners must go.  I’ve had a few Casady basses in the past; I’ve done this to all of them.

lightweight tuners made a big difference for me also experimenting with strings.  
T.I. Jazz Flats are superb on this.  Did yours come with Dean Markley blue steel?

I don’t know what was on it but they were immediately swapped for Chromes which sound fab.
