Hi all, looking for an Ashdown mini48, 8 ohm 600W cabinet South Wales based.  Are there any out there?

Yes indeed, I have one but would like a second, for a monster small but heavy rig.  I contacted Ashdown who said they’re very popular and they may consider revising the model. Maybe I’m just being greedy, but I live in hope.

I've paired mine with a 15.

Is that the 300wABM or did you find the mini version?

It's a mini. I used to have an 4x8 and the matching 1x15 many years ago. I sold the 4x8 but the 15 wasn't sounding right so put it aside. Cut to this year and I wanted to have a second smaller rig option so I spoke to Dave Green at Ashdown and bought a Celestion 400w from them and put that in the cab it it's sounding perfect now. As previously mentioned I tracked down a 4x8 which I have no intention of selling on 😁

I have one, but I'm currently using it as a practice amp with a digital piano. 

 

It's never been gigged 😀 . 

 

I'm considering buying a 15 to match with it for a rather unique stereo gigging rig. Left hand through the 15, right hand through the 4x8.

Nooo, buy a keyboard amp and sell it to me 😊. Seriously though the mini 15’s are hard to find as well.

Really underrated cabs IMO:  the Ashdown mini 4x8 and 1x15 cabs became part of my "compact" gigging rig several years ago, but were just so darn convenient to gig with that it inevitably became my main rig.  

The 1x15 had had its driver upgraded with a 400W Celestion neo when I had it, and I replaced the blueline drivers in the 4x8 with kevlar-coned 200W RMS non-neo units (so now 800W)

They do seem to pop up FS now and again

Nice
