glassmoon Posted Tuesday at 11:18 Posted Tuesday at 11:18 (edited) Hi all, I'm on the cadge again for gear for my nephew's music school contacts in South Africa. For those not familiar, they teach (for free) some of the impoverished areas that desperately need gear of all kinds. In the past, you lot have so generously donated a few tuners (which I am told are STILL working) and a drive pedal. My nephew says they managed to get a few compressors from a couple of local music stores and such, but are looking for a compressor. Preferably a unit with ease of use (baring in mind that a lot of the gear being used is shared among LOTS of players as they donate onwards to two "sister" type schools). They had one bass comp, but it was crushed apparently (I think a car rolled over a bag of gear)... So I thought I'd take a chance and ask... you never know. I don't like asking here, it's the whole colonial thing that worries me, but as an ex Saffa, and being very close to my nephew... well. I've sent one of mine off already BTW, along with gosh knows how much gear... but as I am selling gear (redundancy is a b*tch) I am all but tapped out. My thanks in advance. glassmoon Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago Wow Steve. If that's possible, I'm absolutely certain they would love to have them. That is massively generous of you. Julian Quote
glassmoon Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago Just found out this morning they have approached a school in Zimbabwe. Just as needy, just as musical. Love that boy's drive to help. Quote
