For sale is this Gretsch Broadkaster bass. It’s a Japanese instrument, not a cheaper one from the Electromatic range.

Technically the bass is in very good condition. All hardware and electronics work like they should. The neck is straight with frets with little wear. Playability is great with a low action.

The finish has developed a cloudy blush, possibly because the bass had been in the case for a long time. There are specialized blush erasers available for this kind of lacquer issues.

Otherwise the bass has few usermarks, and I haven’t seen any damages.

The bass is strung with flats and sounds great.

The original case, certificate and other paperwork are included.

€1.350

I am located in the Netherlands,  but happy to ship at buyers risk.

They have a similar one in the gallery atm. A Country Gentleman bass, made in japan iirc. That one is quite a lot more money. This looks like a bit of a bargain to me. GLWTS.

That one looks nice too!

It's a 34" scale though, which will be quite a reach to the first positions. I briefly owned a white falcon bass which was a longscale also. It was awesome sounding, but a very large instrument. The shortscale feels way more comfortable.

The one in The Gallery is a nice thing. I tried it the other day. Thin neck, nice tone, looks the part. My reservation is that  I think it might be a bit pricey for what it is. But I guess the gallery has overheads that we don't.  Your  shortscale will undoubtedly be nicer to play, and what with these both being quite 'thumpy' semi acoustic basses, I doubt the scale length will make any real diff to the tone. GLWTS!
