 These are probably done digitally with a synth, but it feels like a synth emulating a Bass Guitar:

 

 

 

 

 

 

... I guess they are aiming for a Bernard Edwards Stingray sort of thing. What do you reckon, Stingray to get closest to this sort of sound?

I think of Guy Pratt on a Jazz when i think of Disco (Sophie Ellis Bextor)

 

Intro by Alan Braxe, Fred Falke is a really favourite of mine. Theres a guy who does a cover on a Jazz bass and absolutly kills it

Nice. Well I guess that settles it, can definitely get that tone on a Jazz ...or a Stingray, and probably a P!

wow ,  been a while since i heard this  .... Something about us  ..... this is one of the songs that made me fall in  love with the instrument as a beginner 😉 .... I must dig out the video laserdisc of that the discovery space opera "
