Sire bass with closest spec to the squire CV 60s PB

I used to own a squire classic vibe, the 60s version in fiesta red that is well regarded. I later switched to a 50s p bass from the same line - a great guitar, but the neck is like a baseball bat. I'm just wondering which of the sire basses will give me a similar neck profile to the CV 60s fender p bass? That is, more on the shallow end in terms of neck thickness (depth, not width), particularly at the nut. I want to try a sire over a CV as I have heard goods things about them

I've only played one Sire bass, and that's one of the very first V7 jazz style basses that came out. C shape, 38mm nut, 7.25in radius.

The neck on that is not too dissimilar to my Squier VM Precision with regard to the thickness from back to front.

 

As far a I'm aware the first Sire precision style basses, the P7s, have the same necks as the V7s. There was quite a discussion on Sire's Facebook page as to what sort of neck they should put on the P7 and the prevailing opinion was stick the V7 neck on it.

 

Whether they're still like that I wouldn't know, and I couldn't comment on the P5 as I've never played one.

 

You could maybe contact Andertons, who stock Sires and Squiers and ask them about similarities and differences.

Got one of those basses and out the box they are fantastic especially for the price. I didn`t have to adjust anything, it was spot on and the neck is super comfy. I would say it`s the same sort of size as a Fender Player P but for almost half the price!
