I put a Stellartone tone pot in it, because it'll roll off the highs without losing the mids, and I'm a big fan of mids. Who makes the "Stellartone" tone pot? Sounds as if it does the same thing as the Fender "Greasebucket" in my American Performer Mustang. Quote
miles'tone Posted yesterday at 19:22 Posted yesterday at 19:22 (edited) My Sonic P arrived today. Overall I'm pleased with it as the modding platform I wanted and it's certainly a real step up from the Harley Benton I'm sending back. However I will have to do a number on the fret ends as they are all skin-slicer sharp. I guess it's a crapshoot at this price point. It'll be a killer bass when I'm done though. I love the neck profile especially. I will weigh it eventually but so far I can say that it's nice and light and well balanced. Edited 14 hours ago by miles'tone 2 Quote

Very interesting take on the tone pot, it has 10 detents which increasingly drop off treble, a lot of them without dropping the mids like a normal tone pot. I find it very useful. There's an explanatory graphic on the page which shows the curve of each click, it's a matter of finding the ones you like. Quote
Harryburke14 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Adjacent to these Squier Sonic P Basses, I've been playing my new Sonic Bronco almost all day today. This too feels really well built - in fact a massive step up from the Bullet series guitars I've tried and owned. It does also have some rather stabby fret ends. Still very much happy with it though. Incredible vfm. 1 Quote
