But as I already have an Kern IP-777 (and an Avalon U5) it would have been a bit mad to have got yet another high-end pre-amp. I need to sell some bits before I keeping on buying more gear! From vintage Fender through to high-end modern stuff - it just sounds stunning. I took mine along for a demo of Berg cabs & all sorts of basses at Bass Direct (a great place) & Mark was freaked out by it. He's been trying to get them to make some more for him for some time now - but I think he's given up as the guy has retired I think(?). There will be no more made... I use it for recording mostly (it's all hand made & very quiet) - but have been known to run it out into my vintage Ampeg B-15 for an orgy of valve goodness!
