If you are thinking of trading I can consider - gut strings; - light weight cabs for stage monitoring; - double bass stage mics or pickups like Ehrlund. But cash is king! Rabbie Posted February 1 Author Share Posted February 1 I have noticed a website that has a reduced price for Olivs (G at £130 and D at £140)… so I cut these prices too - £90 for the G - D string is at £90 and £100 - £270 for all 3 posted (UK)! thou shalt not find cheaper Olivs (unless you add an “e” at the end, but that’s a different thing). Beedster Posted February 18 Share Posted February 18 Hey Rabbie, I get the impression that quite a few folks playing 4/4s use Olivs, so unless they make/used to make a 4/4 set I'm assuming these might do the trick, any chance you could measure them for me, and possibly let me know the playable length also i.e., without silk? The bottom silk at tailpiece is 11cm including the metal ball and the top silk at scroll is 35cm. I may be a few millimetres out…I guess the G will be the same?
