bassnumpty Posted October 8, 2023 Share Posted October 8, 2023 Looking to change the pickups on my 5 string. Just a bit of fun so don't want to go mental on price. Like the sound of EMGs and like look of the plug and play system - easy for a mod n00b such as myself (plus no use at soldering, my old Bass Balls pedal will agree with me there!) - however struggling to find a set of 5 string PJs that are passive. Seems to be plenty of 4 string options and the 5s are more of less all active from what I can see. Are there passive EMGs that would work in my scenario or alternatively, any advice on other brands with such plug and play simplicity? Cheers.
