Hein Marton, Hungary, circa 1900 Double Bass - Now £2750 £3500 South Yorkshire

This bass was made by Hein Marton in Székesfehérvár, Hungary, around 1900. It's a large 3/4.

 

It's a great value solid wood DB, perfect for the next step up from a laminate or electric DB.

 

There's a crack on the front and a repair to the back. It plays and sounds great. All cracks have been stable since I purchased the bass in 2018.

 

Eb neck, 42" scale.

 

Comes equipped with The Realist Bass Copperhead, a double bass bag, stand, and lightly used Thomastik Spirocore Double Bass 4/4 L strings.
