Fender Mexican 70s style neck with truss rod issue - *SOLD*

I managed to strip the truss rod on this neck so got a luthier to take off the skunk stripe, fit a new truss rod and put a new skunk stripe in. After putting the neck back on, the a crack appeared between the top inlay and the nut with the truss rod at full adjustment. I've played this for a while with either light (39-96) labella flats or thomasik jazz rounds/jazz flats and there's minimal relief and the action is good. With higher tension strings, e.g. DR Legend the relief is creeping out beyond the 1mm mark which results in action too high for my tastes. If you're looking to put together a 70s build on a budget an you're not wanting high tension string or you're too fussed about a super low action, this should be fine. This is the original model with rosewood rather than pau ferro board.

Price includes UK postage.
