Here’s my wonderful Blackburst Maruszczyk Elwood L4a = Jazz on steroids.

So well designed and beautifully crafted.

Lovely, easy to play neck.

Well balanced. Light weight

Note the convenient thumb rest/recess in the back pickup.

Huge range of punchy tones available in passive and active mode.

Specifications:

A hand made, up to date take on Leo Fenders ubiquitous bass from the 1960s that has had a modern makeover including: high specification pickup with coil splittable Delano Extender Dual Coil and split coil, active 2 band Delano eq, precision ETS bridge and superb build quality. 

 

Body: chambered alder with flamed maple top

Neck: hard rock maple

Fingerboard: maple, 21 frets, Zero Fret

Nut width: 40mm

Construction: bolt on

Pickguard: transparent

Pickups: Delano Extender P/Dual coil with mini switch (serial/single coil/parallel) for DC pickup

Electronics: active 2-band Delano - volume (active/passive push/pull switch), balance, bass, treble/passive tone blend
