sshorepunk Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Hi a while back I bought a cheap TC BG250 combo, buttons and a foot missing, but perfect for my needs Now itās stopped working A quick search came up with a component in the power supply that is known to fail Checked it tonight and it is the same problemĀ Ā Iām not clued up on this sort of stuff so no idea what it is apart from what the article I read tells me, itās an NTC type 10D-11 and can replaced with a 10D-15Ā Ā I can replace it no problem, but need to get one, anybody able to help me and also advise if it is the correct route to go? Iāve attached a screen shot of what I read on TB and also the same part in my amp i moved it too one side so I could see the damage and the pin came out of the body! Proper knackered!! Ā Ā Ā Thanks Tony Quote
tauzero Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 It's a negative temperature coefficient thermistor - there's a data sheet atĀ https://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/1132203/VATRONICS/NTC10D-15.htmlĀ that tells you about the numbering system. The 10D-11 handles 3A, the 10D-15 5A, and in the middle the 10D-13 copes with 4A. I'm not sure what the implications of the lower resistance of the higher power handling versions is. Ā CPC Farnell do thermistors -Ā https://cpc.farnell.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?st=thermistor&catalogId=15002&showResults=true&pageSize=25&storeId=10180&langId=[Ljava.lang.String%3B%403c322563&categoryId=700000067503Ā You'd want an NTC thermistor, 10R, that will handle at least 3A and preferably more, for exampleĀ https://cpc.farnell.com/epcos/b57237s100m/thermistor-ntc-10r-3-7a/dp/RE04727?st=thermistor orĀ https://cpc.farnell.com/epcos/b57238s100m/thermistor-ntc-10r-5a/dp/RE04735?st=thermistor Quote
sshorepunk Posted December 16, 2022 Author Posted December 16, 2022 Thanks for that! I worked out it was a thermistor but only ones I could find were on eBay Forgot about Farnellās, just ordered a couple Ā Thanks Tony Ā Quote
