Strings issue - Fender Mustang

Mustang Owners - Opinions Please.
I’ve just acquired a newish US Fender Performer Mustang Bass that is fitted with La Bella Flats. I’ve never been a lover of flats myself and find them very dull. I’ve always used roundwound and love the bite of them. Which Rounds do you like ?
I’ve not stripped it down yet but I’m also informed the string length is classed a medium due to being ‘through the body’. Is that right ?
Thanks

Yep, medium length strings, 32" will see you right.

I only play flats now but I really liked DR HI-Beams in the past. They seemed to last a long while longer than other brands, for me at least. Don't know if they do 32" though.

I also can't get on with flats and like D'Addario EXL160M on my Mustang. They seem to last pretty well and have good zing.

And yep, medium scale is correct for a through body strung Mustang.

I have the same on my MIJ Mustang and like them a lot. Nice tension and balance and they last.

EXL160M, are you using that through the body ? Or should I go for 170M ?

Sorry, brain freeze. Just ordered EXL160M. MANY THANKS
